I got a new dell laptop and im moving to a new home and i want a wireless connection to the internet… what stuff should i buy?

MOST new laptop comes with a wireless card built in. Check your specs on your laptop so see if you have a wireless card built in.

If you do not have a wireless card built in buy a Lynksys wireless PCMCI card, Lynksys router, and you will need a broadband connection I.E. Comcast, Comcast, Verizon.

Check with the broadband service providers, some will provide these items for a nominal fee, or even free if you sign up with them.

If you buy your own make sure they all "jive" with the same frequency. Lynksys is the most user friendly.

I can not connect to internet with wireless connection, Internet only is working with the cable connected to the modem. The message I am receiving is "Your wireless capability is turned off. You must turn on with a swich in the side of the laptop or with any code control"
How can I open the wireless card interface to view available wireless networks and try to connect ?
